These are competencies that reflects the knowledge and skills that practitioners needs to learn, common to a given Sector.

Total Training Duration: 80Hrs

This Course is a clustering of six common competencies that deals with basic electricity and electronics.  These are:

  1. Perform Mensuration and Calculation 
  2. Prepare and Interpret Technical Drawing 
  3. Use Hand Tools 
  4. Test Electronic Components 
  5. Terminate and Connect Electrical Wiring and Electronic Circuits 
  6. Apply Quality Standard

Its objective is to ensure that all students who have enrolled under the Electrical and Electronics Sector are fully knowledgeable of the basics of Electricity and Electronics, the Foundation of Electronic Product Assembly and Servicing and Computer Sytems Servicing, both under Level II of the PQF.

All Trainees are required to undergo and pass a clustered Institutional Assessment to complete this course and move to the Core Competencies of your chosen enrolled Qualification. 

Nominal Training Duration: 56hrs

This unit covers the knowledge, skills, attitudes and values needed to apply quality standards in the workplace. The unit also includes the application of relevant safety procedures and regulations, organization procedures and customer requirements.
